PRINTING METHODS

  • SPOT COLOR (SINGLE to MULTIPLE COLORS)

Most standard logos can be reproduced using spot color printing. Each color requires its own screened separation. We can print a maximum of 8 spot colors on a single side.

The sample shown features four spot colors:

    • 1 BASE WHITE SCREEN

    • 1 PRINT WHITE SCREEN

    • 1 ORANGE SCREEN

    • 1 GRAY SCREEN

  • PROCESS COLOR / 4-COLORS (CMYK)

Full color images, photographs and original artwork consisting of multiple colors, gradients, color shades and hues are most often reproduced using Process Color Printing. Translucent inks CYAN, MAGENTA, YELLOW and BLACK are used to build the various color shades from a multicolor image. This is the most economical method of printing full color imagery but yields less accurate result than the original. This method require printing on white shirts only.

The sample shown was created from a hand painted poster, imported into Photoshop using a large format scanner and color adjusted.

    • 1 CYAN SCREEN

    • 1 MAGENTA SCREEN

    • 1 YELLOW SCREEN

    • 1 BLACK SCREEN

  • HALF-TONE / GRAYSCALE

Half-tone printing is an economical method of printing black and white photographs, shaded drawings or any single color graphic. Full color photographs and multicolor graphics can be converted into grayscale format. Our artists create digital screens of the primary color needed, using dot patterns to simulate the varying levels of shading and detail. We can also print multiple half-tone screens on a single side plus incorporate spot color graphics in a unifying design.

The sample shown uses one half-tone screen and one spot color screen.

    • 1 WHITE HALF-TONE SCREEN

    • 1 FLORESCENT GREEN SCREEN

  • SIMULATED PROCESS

Simulated process is our most costly and involved printing process. This is used when color accuracy, sharpness and vibrant colors are desired. This method is used when printing on multicolor or dark color shirts and yields professional quality results.

The sample shown required 7 spot & half-tone screens to accurately create the level of detail and color accuracy desired by our client.

    • 1 BASE WHITE SCREEN

    • 1 YELLOW SCREEN

    • 1 RED SCREEN

    • 1 LT BLUE SCREEN

    • 1 GRAY SCREEN

    • 1 BLACK SCREEN

    • 1 HIGHLIGHT WHITE SCREEN

  • VINTAGE DISTRESSED & WORN EFFECTS

Popular distressed, eroded, and worn styling can be achieved using filters and graphic overlays. Our artists can alter your existing design into professional eye catching prints. Any design can be taken to another level of retro goodness when combined with a vintage styled shirt.
